We recently returned from a whistlestop photowalk of the sights and delights of London. After shooting around 800 images on the day, our students sat down with Adobe Photoshop and went to work on post-production. The results are stunning and can be seen in our London photo gallery.

Year 8 student Joe has been voted regional winner for the North in the 11-14 category with his photograph of fellow student Jake in the Sightsavers i:click competition. Joe's photograph will be displayed at the South Bank OXO gallery in London from December 10th 2009 until January 10th 2010.

Alice R and Danny S have taken the Sharow Photo Competition schools category by storm, picking up first and third place respectively. Both students picked up prizes for their efforts and also had other photos picked out and commended by judges. This is the second year running that Ecclesfield School students have come away with an award in the competition; a great leaving present for our two year 11 students who have contributed massively to the group's outstanding photographic work in the last two years.

Year 11 student Danny S has been awarded first place from all of our school's entries in the OKI 'Tools for schools' wildlife photography competition. His photo, Boxed Fox (shown left), caught the judges' eyes and he received an animal adoption kit for his hard work and creative eye. Well done Danny!
